THE FRAMLINGHAMIAN 2019
The junior department focused on the
Ancient Civilisations and Early Settlers in
History and enjoyed some exciting visits to
complement their learning. In the Autumn
Term, Year 3 visited Ipswich Museum to
explore their Egyptian exhibition, whilst Year
4 spent a successful day at West Stowe
learning about Anglo-Saxon Britain.
A highlight for Year 5 was their visit to
Framlingham Castle to support their
learning about the development of castles
in Medieval Britain. Year 6 spent time
exploring the history of Brandeston village
and the Hall itself and were surprised
to learn of the sixteenth century vicar,
Reverend John Lowes, who was hanged
for witchcraft. Pupils conducted their own
