there at the time knew I fished it
really hard. We had to do a draw on
Sutton every morning, but the lads
who were down there at the time like
Kodak, Johnny Miller, and Stevie
Wade said basically that I’d sat on
there all winter for them, I’d found
them, so I should go and fish for them,
which I thought was a really nice gesture. I think they were kicking themselves a little bit afterwards. My mate
Steve set up next to me, and I think if
I remember rightly, the first one I had
that morning was a fish called Jackson’s at 32lb 12oz. Steve was next to
me in the Tree Swim, sparko, so I ran
down, woke him up, and said I’d got it
in the net. Steve being Steve he
wasn’t quite with it at the time, and
went back to sleep on me, so I went
back down, and he said he thought
he’d been dreaming at the time. I told
him it was actually in the net, so he
came up and did some photos for me,
and I put that one back. I had a 27lb
common a couple of hours later, and
topped that off in the afternoon when
I had Cluster, another fish that I have
been fortunate enough to catch quite
a few times. This was at its biggest
