events running this half-term for all
ages and abilities - go to www.getfishing.org.uk to find your closest session. Remember that everything you
need is included on the day so it’s
easy to just come along and give fishing a go...
Family Fishing events
Family Fishing activities are ideal for
newcomers of all ages or anyone who
has just been fishing a few times.
Short, fun, safe and friendly sessions
with a fishing licence, tackle and bait
included to teach you how and where
to fish. Come and try fishing for the
first time or brush up on existing
Get Back Into Angling
For more experienced adult anglers
who haven’t been for a while try ‘Get
Back Into Angling’ - four hours of
advice on the latest tackle and methods to return to angling or try a new
type of fishing. Everything is included
on the day or bring your own tackle.
Juniors are welcome to accompany
an adult angler.
Take A Friend Fishing
Also running this half term the ‘Take
A Friend Fishing’ scheme lets you
take a friend or family member fishing
for a day without them needing to
buy a fishing licence. There are opportunities up and down the country for
you to introduce someone to angling.
Free junior fishing licences
Environment Agency fishing licences
are free for 12 to 16 year olds. It’s easy
to get your licence online and only
takes a few minutes. n
