Once Dave has tied the loop on the
hair he attaches his preferred barrel
bait lengthways, sets the length of the
hair so that the top of the bait sits
around half an inch from the apex of
the bend of the hook, and the hair is
then held in place with a 3-4mm
length of 0.5mm silicone tubing. Having the hair come off the hook at this
point offers an excellent anti-eject
setup, and although it breaks with
what is generally accepted as conventional with regards to where the
hair should have its pivotal point the
