Darren Holloway caught this beast from Crete Lakes in France on an
IQD rig fished at 22 wraps to a clear spot with a few free offerings
of DNA Baits’ SLK. The fish was a named Lumpy due to the big lump
on its side. It was the biggest of 17 fish, and this tipped the scales to
65lb 1oz and was also backed up by two more 60s, five 50s, four
40s, three 30s and a 27. www.korda.co.uk
Chris Whyborn sent over this lovely 23lb 8oz mirror from Yateley
South Lake, which is part of Farnham Angling. He went on to say, “I
was blanking for seven weeks until this mirror came along. I didn’t
stop plugging and perusing until I got one.” Chris was using
Deception Angling end tackle consisting of a size 6 SWG hook
attached to 6ins of coated hook braid. His bait of choice was a
Nature’s Baits Alpha dumbbell tipped with a piece of fake corn and
fished over the top of broken freebies and particle.
Brett White is back on the River Ebro, hauling.
A quiet session for Hannah Limb at her local lake, but efforts
resulted in this little beauty which was one of three fish caught on
the new UK Bait Company Fix8 range pop-ups on a hinge stiff rig.
Tom Loraine with a solid-looking, dark, mid-thirty mirror caught
from a large southern pit.
16-year-old Harry Bird from West Mersea, Essex, landed himself a
new PB of 28lb 8oz. Harry was fishing at White Lakes in Essex and
was using a single Creamy Toffee prototype pop-up at 10 yards
range, and luckily for Harry, his only bite in his 12-hour session
resulted in a PB.
