Lauren Stanford spent a few hours floater fishing and slowly got the
carp feeding on the surface. All it took was one cast past the dog
biscuits and moving the bait into position, and within in a couple of
minutes the line tightened and the float went under, which resulted
in this beautiful mirror carp.

Terry Millward was fishing at Sandhurst Lake to start a nice 48hour session. Terry went on to say, “Putting all three rods out
into open water on double tiger nut drilled and popped up with
cork, I set about setting up my Mivardi Executive bivvy. I was
just grabbing the last few bits from the top bank when the
right-hand rod went into meltdown. After a long, sluggish
battle, a beautiful 36lb 14oz Sandhurst common slipped over
the cord, greeted by a massive cheer from me. To bank my first
UK 30 is awesome. I had a big gap from 26lb to 47lb 4oz and
now it’s been filled – it’s an achievement I will savour for a
good while.
