good weight but came in without a
fight, and the fish easily slipped into
the net. As I lifted the net I couldn’t
believe my luck! I had my main target, and one of the most wanted day
ticket carp in the country, Nige’s Fish,
at a very good weight of 42lb 8oz. I
ended my time on Sandhurst mid-
February and had banked two 40lbplus fish, nine 30s and plenty of stunning Sandhurst 20s.
To tackle this venue, my rig choice
was my version of the stiff hinge rig
where I attach the stiff section to a
semi-stiff coated braid using an
Albright knot. I fished this on a helic o p t e r s e t u p u s i n g t h e Ko r d a
