With only a few hours to spare, Jason Richards decided to make a
hinge stiff rig with a longer boom and out it went. Not long after he
had a screaming take and was into this stunning fish, finding several
weed beds before he finally landed it.
It was a good session for UKBC French team member Florent
Liobard... and once the carp had spawned. the carp got back on the
munch, all thanks to the Pro-Fruit and Pro-Evo range of baits.
Lee Rimmer with a fish from Todber Manor called the Banana Linear,
weighing in at 38lb 6oz and his PB. He caught her using Monster Baits

David Hurman went to Sandhurst Lake for a team social with Viper
Tackle Ltd. After struggling for a bite in the first 48 hours, he opted to
scatter boilies with a throwing stick and fish a Ronnie rig with the
Viper Curve Shank Hook with a pink Spiced Nut pop-up from Big Fish
Baits. HIs efforts were soon rewarded with the lovely sound of the
Delks screaming off, and a beautiful Sandhurst mirror graced his net
and broke his mirror PB at 27lb 1oz.
I had my first French trip last week at Etang de Pesnel landing carp
up to 33lb 8oz plus a lot of bream. I was using Sterling Baits Malt Zest
boosted hardened hookbaits tipped with Citrus Berry pop-ups
snowman style on basic hair rigs using the new Nash Pinpoint Claw
hooks (brilliant hooks). I had the most carp in our group won a trophy
and was only half a pound short of the biggest carp trophy. I’m
looking forward to my next trip.
