I went on my local for a quick night where I had plans on
doing a bit of spodding, which is new to me and ended up
not going to plan. I snapped off after a few casts and lost the
Spomb, but the particles attracted the dreaded bream, in total
seven of them throughout the night. At first light, I decided to
change a few things and went for the size 6 Curve as a
blowback rig, about 8ins long with a 16mm Manila bottom
bait with six freebies in a mesh bag sprayed with the Manila
attractor, which worked well. I had my first fish at 17lb 2oz
and the second at 14lb 6oz, so after a poor start, things
worked well to end the session. I am very impressed with
Curve hooks – they nail them every time. #AbilityTackle

They managed to have two fish off the surface on a recent
season using the size 4 Classic hook. #AbilityTackle

Nothing from my syndicate, so I popped down the
local. I smashed out 95 yards to snags and waited.
Only ten minutes in, I had my first run and a carp of
10lb, but it’s a start. I then had a double take and
nearly landed the first as the second started to
tighten the line. I got the first in the net and got
straight onto the second fish – both were cracking
commons. I had four fish in less than an hour and
ended up with seven, all caught on the Ability Curve
or the new Twitters. #AbilityCurve #AbilityTackle
