Arson Attack at Iktus
The shop and Jeremy’s home (where
he lives with his wife and son) has
had a break-in. Not only did the
lowlives steal tackle etc, they set fire
to the shop destroying 100% of the
stock and most of the equipment. The
damage is considerable and the
space will no longer be usable for
Carp Fishing Trips and Iktus Carp
would like to inform our customers
that Iktus have installed a temporary
reception in chalet no. 9. The sale of
fishing articles is suspended of
course, but we will try to maintain the
services as best we can. This includes
bicycle rental, recharging customer’s
batteries etc.
Would customers please call Rob
on +44(0) 7717837879 or Iktus direct
on +33 (0) rather than
the normal Iktus number, as the telephones and lines have been
destroyed by the fire, This is a heart
breaking think to have happened to
Jeremy who has put his heart and
soul into Iktus for over ten years now.
This could not have happened at a
worse time as we are now coming
into high season.
Anybody who has met Jeremy will
know that he and Iktus will not be
beaten by this cowardly potentially
murderous act but will come back
stronger and better than before. Of
course the Police are investigating
and we all hope that they catch the
cowards sooner rather than later.
I’ve just been informed that the
reception and shop at Iktus is going
to take up to three months to be
rebuilt. A small tackle shop will be
opening soon in chalet 5.
On a much happier note, the lakes
at Iktus continue to produce some
fantastic fish. Since the start of 2018,
Iktus has produced 22 carp over the
30kg mark!! n
