Nucleus Baits catch reports
Effort Equals Reward!
Matty Hayes just got back from a five night session on his local venu Northfield and landed two carp to 22lb and one catfish and a very rare
appearance for there a tench! He turned up to a nearly empty lake and after walking the lake the night before he was confident the swim he chose
was the one! Just the tench the first night then lost a carp the next night! With that he noticed the fish had moved so off he went after them and was
rewarded with a 19.04 common! After blanking the following night he decided to move again! Was a good decision and a 22lb mirror slipped into the
net. Over all a good session! All fell to plumberry freebies and a white plumberry pop on a ronnie rig! #Nucleusbaits #Plumberry #popups.
Monks Pit
Team member John Paul McCusker had found a hard area surrounded
by soft silt In the middle of lake at 25 wraps. He presented plumberry
pop ups and maize fishing ronnie rigs on his chosen spots. He baited
with plumberry bottom baits and pellet using his bait boat to keep the
baited areas nice and tight . On the first night he lost a fish then landed
a 16lb stockie on the 2nd night. On his last night an old scaly mirror
tipped his scales to 33.04. John later found out that it was 40 plus year
old fish. #nucleusbaits #plumberry
New P.B.
Team member Chris Satchell fished Coking Farms Oak lake on a quick
overnighter in peg 23. He presented a D rig baited with a 15mm wafter
on all of his rods and was rewarded with a new PB mirror of 31.4lb in
the shape of a fish called Double Bubble. #nucleusbaits #special
German Adventure part 2 – Ali Garland is at it again
After a good friend pulling some serious strings, Ali managed to get a night on a local syndicate lake. He was told there was a lot of big fish in a very
small amount of water so the chances of him catching was good. On arrival at the lake the first thing he noticed was the amount of weed. So first
port of call was to take the boat out and try to locate a couple of clear spots. Eventually he found 2 spots each no bigger then the size of a dinner
plate. He placed a Ronnie rig with plumberry pop ups on two spots and sat back and enjoyed the scenery. Night came, at about 5am his left rod
screamed off and within seconds the fish had made a beeline towards a massive weed bed and decided to swim rightbim the middle of it. So Ali had
no option other than to go out in the boat to try and retrieve it, after a long fight he managed to finally slip the net under a big mirror. Once back on
dry land the fish tipped the scales to 38.8lb which was a new German PB and a true achievement for all the effort that had gone into the last 6
months to get some fishing done in Germany.
