Warren Moroney – On my syndicate water, I fished Red Amo boilies
and food bait pop-ups in 15mm. I ffished a 15mm out-of-the-bag
bottom bait on a standard knotless knot hair rig with kicker with
around ten broken-up bottom baits around it down in the margin
next to a snag tree. Within an hour, I was graced with this character of
a 26lb common. The same tactics and spot also saw me have another
two smaller fish: one common and another stockie mirror all in a fun
day session.
Matt Eade – A few of the better ones from a busy afternoon’s fishing
over three waters resulting in 25 or so fish.
Richard Handel – A couple of small fish from this weekend, taken on
Spotted Fin Catalyst and using the Evolution Carp Tackle NSR 50.
James Buckler – Venue: Linear Fisheries St John’s Pool. Weight: 31lb.
Bait: Red Amo bollies, Red Amo Liquid, Frenzied Hemp and Monster
Tiger Nut white pop-ups in 10mm. I used Ronnie rigs mounted on
semi stiff hook lengths. The session comprised of a 14-fish hit over
two nights with the biggest going 31lb as submitted. Tactics
consisted of fishing to the back of a bar at 110 yards with all three
rods on a tight spot with the deadly Dynamite Baits mix going in over
the top on a little and often basis. I was using lots of the Red Amo
liquid in the spod mix.
James Buckler – I recently fished three nights on Manor Farm on the
Linear Fisheries complex where I managed 13 fish of 32lb, 32lb, 28lb,
28lb, 27lb and further low 20s. Red Amo boilies, sweetcorn, halibut
pellets, Liquid Frenzied Hemp and Monster Tiger Nut white pop-ups
in 10mm. I fished solid bags comprising halibut pellets and white
Tiger Nut pop-ups in 10mm.
Adam Howard – I went back down to the local for a few hours’ surface
fishing and cast to them with a breadbomb attached to a Viper
Tackle wide gape SPT size 6 hook. The fish spooked at first, but ten
minutes later I saw a big pair of lips come up out the water, and after
a hard battle, I slipped my net under a lovely old mirror.
