Aaron Cameron – I went to another local park lake for a 24-hour
session and managed one of the fish that I went for. The fish fell to a
Ronnie rig using the Viper Tackle Curve Shank and some pop-up
Josh Mattin – Three fish were caught, the biggest being a 27lb mirror
carp called Spot. The weight was 27lb. I used 15mm Complex-T
boilies topped with half a 15mm Mulberry Florentine Fluoro barrel
pop-up at A12 Cuton Lakes, Essex.
Ben Cooper – Fishing Frimley Pit last week, I had a 28lb’er on a zig 2ft
under the surface with black foam and a coating of Dynamite Baits
Robin Red Evolution Oil.
Tom Neale – Venue – Sandhurst. Captures – mirror (Annie’s Fish) 28lb
3oz, mirror 37lb 2oz and common 24lb 2oz. A 48-hour session at
Sandhurst resulted in three personal bests for Bank Tackle team
member Tom Neale. Fishing from a short-range swim, using a simple
blowback rig with a size 6 Wide Gape hook and a tiger nut as hook
bait, Tom had an early run. After a spirited fight, Tom banked Annie’s
Fish at 28lb 3oz and set his new PB. Whilst photos of Tom’s new PB
were being taken, a second rod screamed off. After a short fight, the
fish was in the net. Weighing in at 37lb 2oz, the stunning mirror had
smashed his personal best by nearly 9lb. The alarms remained silent
until around 4am the next morning when Tom woke to another
screaming run. The result was a 24lb 2oz, a new PB common carp.
Fish two and three were both caught on a stiff hinged rig with a Bank
Tackle size 6 Chod hook and Essential Cell pop-up.
