POWA PACS
Catch Report
WINNER!
Liam Lee – I caught this 26lb absolute minter on an Evolution
Carp Tackle Corn Stack chopped down into a double on the way
home from a short session.
Kevin Sanders – Here are a few pictures from a day’s floater fishing I
had at a local Cambridge lake. Not long after the hook bait hit the
water, it was engulfed, and a hard fighting common was netted
several minutes later. The fish were on edge from then, but after a
couple more commons to 19lb, I hooked something much bigger
when a fish exploded on the surface, taking my cork hook bait dipped
in the Crave bait soak. At 29lb 8oz, it was one of the lake’s bigger fish.
A few more fish to 23lb followed until I hooked into a better fish
again. Eventually my mate netted the fish, and it was mine. It
weighed in at 36lb 8oz and was the biggest carp I had ever caught off
the surface.
Luke Godman – I had this wicked common from my Cambridgeshire
syndicate, one of five caught off the top using PB Products end tackle
and an Xcel Baits pop-up whittled down as a hookbait. The weight
was 30lb 12oz.
Liam Lee – I had this albino grassy on the top using a bread bomb to
keep the bread in place for a long time.
Steve Cock – A week-long session on Marne Valley Carping’s
Tarnaud Lake in France resulted in a ten-fish catch topped by this
35lb 8oz common for Team Hutchinson’s Steve Cock. Steve fished at
80 yards’ range to a far margin under overhanging trees where he
presented a Rod Hutchinson Force Wafter on an IQ D rig with size 4
Curve Shank hook. This was fished over mixed particles with
chopped Force boilies soaked in Force Liquid Carp Food and coated
in Force Stick Mix. Steve also caught a 31lb mirror along with five
over 20 and three grass carp.
Phil Kingsbury – First session on Longfield Fox Pool and my rod was
out for an hour, fished in the margin. I had one of the A-team, the Big
Sutton at 35lb. A Complex-T hardened hook bait with paste wrapped
round it fooled this one, plus it’s a birthday carp to boot!
