Having just caught one of his target fish from the north west, James
Colley didn’t expect to be breaking his PB so soon after at 43lb 8oz.
Full Name: Tuck Hurley, Feltham. Venue: Linch Hill Christchurch.
Date of Capture: 06/06/2018. Weight: 33lb 15oz. Bait Used: Monster
Tiger Nut. Rig Used: Hinge stiff. Further details (tackle used, distance
fished etc) I fished at 18 wraps out over a clean area. I was using a
helicopter style rig to present my hinge stiff rig. I tied the rig up using
20lb Korda Mouth Trap with a size 6 choddy hook and IQ2 as my
boom and a 4oz lead. I used a matching Tigernut pop-up as my hook
bait and 2kg of free offerings. I scattered them around with the
throwing stick.
Having just landed the Essex Manor’s Bream Common at exactly
40lb, Grant Dilloway recently returned for more and had this one at
41lb 14oz.
Aron John from Spalding – PB: 35lb 4oz – After arriving late evening
for my first session this season on my Norfolk syndicate, I located a
good group of fish. After watching the patrol route till just before
dark, I flicked out a stiff hinge rig with a Complex-T pop up and
baited with three handfuls of Complex-T boilie crumb mixed with
the rehydration liquid. An hour later, I had this mirror on the bank
and was all packed up by 6am to go to work – not a bad start to the
season.
He’s done it again! Along with three 40-pounders, Simon Kenny has
smashed the Church Lake with a ten-fish haul!
Lee Kemp with a lovely, deep-bodied low-thirty common from a
recent trip, taken only feet from the bank.
Armed with a new test pop-up range, Lee Bell enjoyed a session on
Trent View Carp Fishery. These baits have been putting plenty of fish
on the bank during testing.
