Andy Walsh. – I returned last night from Clearwater in France. It was
a nice lake but very snaggy and not for the fainthearted. There were a
lot of fish lost to snags to us this week, but having said that, we had a
great week apart from the weather. Whilst you were basking in
sunshine, we were getting webbed feet. The fish count was six carp,
and most fish were over 30lb with the biggest being 46lb, all caught
on the Viper Choddy hooks. I could have had a few more, but that’s
fishing! A big thanks goes out to all the boys I was with: Guy Bennett,
Martyn Byrne, Colin Balment, Andy Williams, Thomas Rushby, Andy
Collins and James Dowd. Bait used was Martin Pro Baits Squid and
Orange – what a superb bait it was. #teamvipertackle #carpfishing

This has been a very hard week with the carp holed up and not
moving. Even the rain over two days never affected them, and that
included a heavy downpour on Thursday. A total of 16 fish were
landed with the heaviest two at 43lb 10ozs and 43lb 2ozs caught by
Doug and Micky respectively. Mike had six fish, heaviest 41lb, and
Phil weighed in with two, 37lb 8oz being the biggest. Special
mention goes to Sam who landed two at 27lb and 36lb, and finally a
very special mention for Steve, Gary and Tony. All three really
worked hard but were unlucky. Perhaps next time guys.
