Hilton!! This 35lb 8oz mirror from a Dutch canal fell to a Strawberry
Nutcracker pop-up over a bed of matching free offerings. Great
angling, Darren!
A lovely long and lean one for Quinton Matthews. He took this dark
mirror as part of a ten-fish haul during a 48-hour visit to his private
Wesley Leadbeater – I’ve just got back from a tiring week in France
working on the Le Mans 24-hour race and the odd little bit off fishing I
got to do. I took chance I had to fish and put my full effort in and
managed 16 fish with three 30s up to 35lb with half of them taken on
the German rig with UK Bait Company Pro-Nut wafter with Pro-Nut
freebies over the top and the other half of the fish taken on a German
rig with a little 12mm Pro-Nut pink pop-up with some Pro-Nut
freebies over the top.
Billy Stone – Finally after six weeks, the fish are back on my old
stretch of canal with big’uns everywhere. I was wondering why my
rod hadn’t gone off for an hour or so of fizz, so it was time to reel in.
This little munchkin was on the end and had weeded itself right
where I put my rig. Damn. I must have seen two 40s and eight 30s. I
will be back early doors and will try to have day off too to get back
there. Caught on UK Bait Company Pro-Evo and Pro-Nut.
What a carp! Here’s Jim Shelley’s second 38 from last week in the
shape of this epic dark mirror, taken on a Tuna & Garlic pop-up fished
over a bed of T&G boilies and pellet. Stunning carp, Jim.
