Catch Report
Ben Wilson did 48 hours on Horcott Lakes and managed to bag this
17lb common, nailed on the multi rig and using a size 6 Viper Curve
Shank in 2ft of water.
Jordan Levitt – I got down to my local club lake at about 6pm
friday night, expecting it to be a bit hard to get on, but there
wasn’t another angler in sight, which kind of made it a little
harder for me to chose a peg, but with the high pressure, I chose
to fish a shallow area, which happens to control the most water
across the lake. I’d fished this peg before with good success so
knew the spots. I threw a bare lead to make sure there wasnt any
debris on the spots and then proceeded to put out a kilo of
UberRami and hemp and fish snowman setup on a Viper
longshank size 6. With it being high pressure, I knew that the
fish wouldn’t be on the munch. Night drew in, and at 1am, the
rod was away with a little common of about 8lb, so I got the rod
back out and awoke to the alarm screaming at half past four. I
picked up the rod, and the fish charged into the lilies. I kept
steady pressure, and the fish came free after what seemed like
forever fighting it. It went in the net, and I quickly got the rod
back on the spot and put a bit more bait in. I put the fish in the
retainer to rest, and within ten minutes, the rod was off again
with a good looking mirror of around 10lb. I got the bigger one
out the retainer and got the snaps and weighed it at 22lb 7oz.
Nothing else was left to report for the rest of the weekend
unfortunately, but I was happy to be out and catching.

Gary Shaw – A few fish I’ve had on the UK Bait Company Pro-Evo over
the past couple of weeks on glugged wafters fished over a scattering
of matching bottom baits.
Paul Heseltine – The minging heat and all the bugs eating me alive
this weekend was worth putting up with, as I was rewarded with
this little gem at 24lb 8oz that fell to a multi rig once again. Two
Castaway PVA nuggets is all the PVA needed on this one, fishing a
firm silt area and just making sure the rig was not dropping down too
hard and getting buried.
The Woodcarving is possibly one of the finest carp in the land and the
main reason Simon Kenny bought his ticket for RK Leisure’s Horton
Church Lake. His dream was realised last week.
