Diary Of A Carp Addict
sights were now set on the Yateley
Car Park Lake to take me up to the
winter, and I will be talking about the
Car Park in the next diary piece. Well,
although I had caught a few, there
was nothing to shout about, but this
is real life fishing, and we don’t
always get the big’un… well not yet
Just before I finish, there are a few
other things I have been up to. First of
all there was Scott Geezer Grant’s
Charity event, which went really well.
A good weekend was had by all, and
my partner and I came second to the
man himself, Rob Maylin, and his
partner, A nice bit of cash was raised,
and hopefully we will raise even more
next year. Rick Golder had his 50th
birthday bash over at my fishery, and
they took over the day ticket water for
the weekend. There was a good old
crowd – Nige Sharp, Nick Helleur, Big
George, and Terry Doe to name a few,
and as the photos would suggest Rick
did have a great time. We had a BBQ
on the Saturday; Mike Willmott turned
up with some scrumpy, and then it all
got a bit messy, and Rick met a nice
chap in the clubhouse who had
dressed for the occasion. There was
lots more I could say about the party,
but I am actually writing this on the
bank at Sandhurst, my battery is
nearly dead, and Rob wants this in
today, so I had better call it a day for
now and catch up soon in the next
diary piece. n
