In Search of Monster Carp
and in July I was in the situation of
losing my licence until I sat my test
again. I thought that was the end of
Silvermere that year until 9th August,
when I was sat at home, and my mum
(Top) 32lb 4oz.
(Below) 30lb 12oz.
must have known I was bored so she
offered to drop me off at Silvermere,
which is around 20 miles from my
house, so thanks a lot mum.
That afternoon I got down there; it
was pouring with rain, but it looked
prime for a bite, so I placed my gear
under my groundsheet and went into
the restaurant on the lake to get some
dinner and a drink. My mate Luke
turned up around the same time and
joined me, and as we were sat eating
our burgers I saw White Scale, my target fish, come clean out the water to
the wrist of its tail. Luke and I both
looked at each other and said, “White
