So, that’s it for another month, and
with Christmas merely a matter of
weeks away fishing will be on the
back burner for many readers, with
them finding enough of a fix from
reading about fishing rather than participating. However, those carp are
still there to be caught, and sometimes being out in the cold on a
peaceful venue is reward enough
itself, but if you are lucky enough to
get into a winter carp, you can feel
satisfied that that you efforts bore
fruit. Next month I have another very
talented angler who has been carp
fishing for 25 years, and cut his teeth
on some notable Essex venues such
as Aquatels and Braxted. He then
started fishing some of the Boyer ven-

Slade. He has enjoyed massive success on some of their venues and has
caught just about every big’un in Farlows, where he developed his floater
fishing technique in to a carp catching art form. He has more recently
been fishing on Kingsmead One
where he has enjoyed frantic success
in the spring and summer, and hopefully next month’s article on floater
fishing under the expert guidance of
Craig Law will whet your appetite
enough to want to give it a go on
those warm sunny days of early
