It’s another absolute peach of a common for Ross Hodgetts, caught
from the winter wonderland that is Farlow’s Lake.
It’s not all about size. Just check out this little banger that fell to
Luke Vallory’s rods on Christmas Eve.
Oxfordshire gold for Mark Cookson.
Jimmy Hill with a previously uncaught zip-linear, which came as
part of a ten-fish haul.
John Barnes with more short session action, this time taking three
fish with this lovely common being the pick of the bunch.
Richard Stone managed to nick two bites, both tripping up on his
snowman rig tight to an island. The first bite resulted in a lovely
19lb 1oz zip linear. He was then sat in his swim talking to a friend
who had popped down to see him when he said that his rod was
going to go any minute, and sure enough, about ten seconds later, a
slow lift of the bobbin and a couple of ticks from the clutch saw him
land a lovely 18lb 10oz mirror. Both fish fell to products from the
Evolution Carp Tackle Last Elements range and their corn stacks
placed over maize and a light scattering of boilie.
