bank and into the swim next door.
This seemed to do the trick and it didn’t take that long before I had the carp
wallowing in the margins. The only
trouble was that in my haste to get
round to the next swim I had forgotten to pick the landing net up. I was
lucky that one of the lads heard my
shouts and came round to help out.
The carp was soon netted and once in
the weigh sling it pulled the needle
round to 27lb 8oz.
I was amazed at the sheer power
and speed of this fish and was thankful that there had been someone
nearby to lend a helping hand. That
was to be the final carp of that session
and a few hours later I was all packed
up and on my way home. The carp
that had been caught were not huge,
but it had been nice to have a couple
from a swim that I hadn’t caught from
before. Join us next time for the next
exciting session. n
