Angling Trust welcomes Hayley Clapperton
as its newest Ambassador
Hayley Clapperton, Managing
Director of Bait-Tech Ltd and allround angling supporter has been
announced as the Angling Trust’s latest Ambassador. Hayley - an advocate for encouraging children and
families to try fishing - has made it
her mission to learn everything she
can about angling and the people
who take part.
She often volunteers her time and
support at events for newcomers and
has joined the Trust’s Fisheries
Enforcement Support Service as one
o f i t s e v e r- g r o w i n g
t e a m o f Vo l u n t e e r
Bailiffs. Hayley
explained her decision
to accept the role of
Ambassador: “I’ve
always supported and
assisted the work of
t h e A n g l i n g Tr u s t .
They are the sport’s
governing body and I
doubt there’s an
organisation that
could do a better job.
Their work is hugely varied, more
so than most anglers realise, and they
need to be recognised for that. I’ve
liaised and worked with many of the
staff and they are all passionate about
what they do, without them, angling
would be a in very different environment.” Hayley helps people learn to
fish at Get Fishing events across the
country. She explained:
“For me it’s all about giving something back to the
industry I’ve come to
love, so being asked to
become an Ambassador
for the Angling Trust is very humbling
- it didn’t take me long to think about
it!”

commitment to encouraging people
to try angling and to get more people
fishing more often will be a great
asset. The Participation Team welcome Hayley’s ability to raise the
sport’s profile so that everyone can
discover the wonders of angling, its
proven contribution for fitness, mental health and wellbeing.”

founded by Peter Clapperton, with all

business, has been running since

within the bait industry since the
1970’s. Donald Cooke Ltd’s philosophy has always been to explore
options and move forward, offering
customers a varied portfolio of products.
Andrew Cooke is truly excited by
the prospect of the merger, “The
opportunity to work with this great
fishing brand, given the synergies and
values we both share was a simple
decision. We already work alongside
brands like Rod Hutchinson and
Stroft,along with the numerous raw
materials and services we offer the
trade. The opportunities and knowledge provided by this merger of Bait
Tech and Donald Cooke will keep
improving both our service levels and

Hayley echo’s these thoughts with
