Thank you for your interest in Garden House School, where we
welcome girls and boys aged three to eleven years. Our School
buildings are situated in the heart of Chelsea, in central London.
Our unique Prep School model is one where the girls and boys
are taught separately but join together for lunch, whole School
events, visits and After School Clubs.
We aim to create a happy, purposeful and secure learning
environment where children develop self-confidence and have
many opportunities to maximise their potential. We want
them to develop a genuine love of learning. This is set against a
backdrop of instilling the importance of good manners, kindness
and establishing lifelong friends.
Academic study complemented by Music, Sport, Art and
Performing Arts including Ballet and dance are lynchpins of
the School day for a Garden House pupil. We encourage hard
work and an excitement about learning new things. This love of
learning which the children develop, enables them to gain entry
to some of the most selective day and boarding Schools, often
being awarded scholarships.
Garden House is an extended family, with the Principal and Heads
at its centre, surrounded by talented, dedicated and energetic staff.
Our teachers are highly-trained professionals who respect and love
children and who are always approachable. This outstanding and
caring teaching and the emphasis on kindness to others, allows
each and every child to fulfill their promise.
We have a responsibility to our children’s parents and we
believe a parental partnership in education is a crucial element
to achieving our aims. As Heads, we encourage this partnership
and acknowledge the needs and aspirations of parents and
children alike.
Garden House children develop strong foundations for their
future education and indeed for life after school. They are
articulate, considerate to the needs of others and happy to share
their talents. We are proud of all they achieve.
