INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR
G2G Communities CIC provides a range of support, courses,
programmes, workshops and training across North Wales.
Their project ‘RHYL Recycling Helps You Live’ – A Better Life’
aims to reduce the amount of plastic being sent to landfill
within the Rhyl and local district by working with schools and
businesses to collect discarded materials and provide a variety
of educational ways that they can be re-used and recycled.
Genesis Biosciences is a global biosciences company that has
been pioneering the innovation of effective natural products to
resolve specific environmental and cleaning challenges in its
research and development and quality control laboratories.
Natural Resources Wales, supported by the Welsh
Government, has driven innovation to investigate and
remediate pollution from abandoned metal mines, which cause
700km of Welsh rivers to fail European quality standards.

MATHS AWARD
Companies House hold the largest source of administrative
data about companies in the UK, form a key input into many
national statistics and provide research regarding businesses
and the economy. The Data Science function team is home
to a wide range of statistical and analytical professionals.
Office for National Statistics (ONS) is the UK’s largest
producer of official statistics and the executive office of the
UK Statistics Authority. Their ‘Let’s Count!’ free primary
school educational programme aims to excite and engage
children and families with census, encouraging children to
understand the relevance of statistics and other subjects.
Welsh Contact Centre Forum is an industry-led employers’
forum which delivers extensive support to over 200
employers. Their graduate programme aims to encourage
the next generation into roles in data and analytics.
