Bond Digital Health is a medical technology company
developed by founders Ian Bond and Dave Taylor as a
self-management tool for patients with chronic health
conditions. Today, Bond is geared almost exclusively
towards serving the lateral flow diagnostics industry.
Cellesce, based in the Cardiff Medicentre have 10 full
time employees and have invented and patented a unique
bioprocess for the expansion of human-derived, cancer
organoids for applications in cancer drug discovery.
Credas uses a suite of cutting-edge identity verification technology
to enable businesses to remotely authenticate clients, customers
and over 4,000 international identification documents. It offers
a simple, quick and secure way to confirm that ID documents
are genuine and the person verifying is real and present.
The Magstim Company is a leading supplier of transcranial
magnetic stimulation (TMS) stimulators and packages
used for Magstim TMS therapy and neuromodulation
research. Magstim develops products which meet the
changing needs of clinics utilising TMS treatments.
STEM RISING STAR
OF THE YEAR
CGI IT UK – Charles Jones joined the CGI’s STEM Ambassador
programme in 2019 and has thrived in this environment. Since
his introduction to the programme, Charles has delivered
presentations and interactive sessions to hundreds of children
at schools & communities during a range of events.

EcoSlurps – Gerwyn Holmes at 34 decided to start a
company providing the very best sustainable alternatives
to single use plastics and disposable coffee cups.
Gerwyn’s mission for company is for it to become a carbon
positive eco-product business with a global reach.
Wrexham Glyndwr University – Verity Paige Tynan started a
BSc (Hons) Forensic Science in 2016 where she naturally swayed
towards biological modules and opportunities for additional
study outside her main programme. As a member of the British
Association for Forensic Anthropology, she plans to pursue the
certification routes for forensic anthropology through the Royal
Anthropological Institute and hopes to be able to combine a
career of research, academia and case work in the long term.
