Due to the safely-guarded Chilstone secret recipe, the
handmade cast stone faithfully recreates a sense of history.
The striking, aged patina is achieved through a combination
of this honed recipe and the normal weathering process,
which attracts moss and lichens. As a result, Chilstone
products give the feel of a distinctly older piece of stone
in only a few years. In this way, Chilstone’s handmade cast
stone represents a sound investment that improves with
the passing years. This is even more important in these
changing times, which demand that our society moves
away from disposability and looks to create long-lasting
products that stand the test of time.
We really value the artistic and cultural heritage of our
gardens and buildings here in the U.K and around the
world. As such, we have sought to create a collection
which preserves this history for future generations. Through
working on many projects over the years, we have been
privileged enough to gain access to some wonderful
pieces of stone work. We have carefully restored damaged
stonework for many well-known clients, including Embley
Park and Hever Castle. Our ability to copy existing damaged
stonework has also rejuvenated some of our most treasured
spaces, such as Kew Gardens and Kensington Palace.
Chilstone recently helped the prestigious Hurlingham
Private Members’ Club celebrate their 150th anniversary,
by replicating the Hurlingham Club Bowl and Pedestal
planter from their famous gardens. With kind permission,
we have been able to bring some of these treasured pieces
into our main Chilstone Collection. The Hurlingham Club
have granted us permission to offer their piece too.
In some cases, we are able to offer limited edition items
developed as a result of exclusive project work, but you
need to move fast for these. Keep an eye on our website
and social media for the latest Chilstone news and
product launches. | 01892 740866
