Large Urns
Alexandra Vase
Massive vase created from a lost
original. This vase is very unusual
in having different images on
the medallions on each side. It
was recreated in the restoration
of Avenham and Miller Parks in
Preston from historical records.
One side shows a classical maiden
and the other shows a cherub in a
boat. The rim sports trailing vines
and the vase has large ram’s head
handles.
Shown on an Alexander pedestal
