The Gullywash Bar
-ney. Be sure to grab a conch salad or scorched
conch as well as an order of flavourful, light and
fluffy conch fritters. Enjoy the music for a bit, and
then start making your way down the lineup of
beach front stalls.
On the way, pick up an ice-cold Sands Beer or a
Pinksands Radler, which are both produced on
Grand Bahama Island, or head over to the
Gullywash Bar. This bar, like its name suggests,
serves a truly Bahamian drink called Gullywash,
which is a blend of fresh coconut water, condensed
milk, and gin. The Gullywash bar may also add a
secret ingredient or two to make their version of
this classic drink special.
Enjoy some lively conversation while at the bar or a
game of ring toss, before heading over to
Outriggers for some music and some fried fish.
Outriggers has a dance floor and plays a mix of
Bahamian Rake & Scrape sprinkled with music from
around the world.
The Smith’s Point Fish Fry takes place every
Wednesday. There is no set start time, but most
stalls are open by around 5 or 6pm.
