Sherica “Sherry” Smith started making conch
salad with her father, Sherrick "Shabo" Smith,
when she was just four years old. Growing up in
the close knit coastal settlement of West End,
she developed a deep connection to the ocean
from a very young age.
Sherry's father, Shabo, was a much loved
member of the community and he taught his
daughter the art of conch salad making. Though
he passed away in December of 2022, his
legacy will live on via the business that they
both built.
