Summer Edition of Insurance Matters by H&H Insurance Brokers - Flipbook - Page 1
As the days become longer,
as the sun starts to shine
brighter and higher in the sky,
our thoughts also brighten
and drift to the pleasures
the coming months may
offer. The pleasures of active
and busy days, followed by
relaxing in the sun with family
friends and loved ones.
We do though temper those
thoughts with the challenges
that we all face, both as
businesses and individuals.
The increases in the cost
of living, and the future
increases we are likely to see,
are at the forefront of everyone’s mind. There are numerous
complex micro and macro-economic factors, as well as
geopolitical issues driving these rapid changes and uncertainty.
I don’t intend to add my own commentary on these, suffice to
say they are affecting all businesses, including our own.
Within the agricultural sector the changes to grants and the
impact this will have on current and future plans, lead to many
of our clients worrying about the future. For our tourism and
hospitality businesses, the summer is one of great excitement
but with similar challenges and concerns; including staffing
to meet demand. We know that this affects every sector
of business we help protect; none are immune to these
As your Broker we are part of this future too. We are here to
support you, to advise you and to help protect that future. When
commodity, materials and utility prices increase, the pressure
is always on to find ways to reduce superfluous expenditure.
As your professional advisor, we work with you to find the right
cover to fit your budget as the cheapest insurance may not
be the best and could inflict as much damage to your business
as supply chain shortages or rapidly increasing price changes
can; poor or underinsurance could result in the permanent
closure of a business.
Despite all these challenges I am energised by a trait that I have
witnessed throughout my many years in business, one that I
witness even more acutely within the sectors we specialise in that is resilience. The resilience to adapt to future opportunities
and strength to succeed. The resilience and energy to create
a more prosperous future.
In this edition of our Insurance Matters, we share with you
some of the successful businesses that we help protect. Each of
whom identified an opportunity and built their success on this.
We also have a feature on our growing team in Wales and
the positive future they are creating through our continued
expansion and growth in North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire.
I want to end my opening notes by going back to my first
thoughts: the optimism and pleasures that the next few months
offer. The highlight of which for me and my team will be getting
back out meeting people during the 2022 Summer Show
season. In conjunction with our sister companies, Harrison &
Hetherington and H&H Land & Estates, we are back this year,
bigger and brighter than ever before; more details of our plans
for 2022 will be shared in the coming weeks. The first show
in the calendar is the Northumberland County show on Friday
3rd June and we look forward to seeing many of you there.
As ever thank you for allowing H&H Insurance Brokers to be
