understanding and adoption
of the AML regulations?
The vast majority of Estate Agents think that they
understand the AML requirements, but the number who
believe their firm is compliant is significantly lower
and there is a feeling that it is implemented differently
across the country.
Key stats include:
Over 80% of Estate
Agents think they fully
understand HMRC’s
anti-money laundering
regulations.
Yet almost a third (30%) did not think
their agency completely met the
HMRC requirements.
Less than half (46%)
of Estate Agents
believe that AML
regulations are
equally understood
and implemented
by agencies across
the country.
