Inspiring Communities is our vision to bring our residents closer
to their communities, and thereby enhance their lives. Over the
next pages we describe in detail what Inspiring Communities is,
how it works, the partners we’re working with, and the challenges
it can help with.
Inspiring Communities is an innovative,
wide-ranging, programme that Breckland
Council has invested £1million in, and I’m
very proud to be involved with it. We’ve all felt
over the past year how important strong local
communities can be, and how it benefits our
physical and mental health to be part of one.
We want this programme to build on that
feeling and keep strengthening the
communities that nurture and protect us,
whatever the future may hold.
I have spent the last few years really getting
to know the communities that I and my fellow
councillors serve, and this knowledge has
helped shape Inspiring Communities.
We represent the community we serve, but
we’re also part of it. We are all one team.
Whether you are part of a community group,
a specialist organisation, or a resident in need
of help, Inspiring Communities is designed for
you, and it can’t succeed without you.
This is an invitation from us, to all of you.
We invite you to come together to embrace
helping others and make a positive impact
on the lives of as many members of our
community as we can.
I look forward to taking this
journey with you.
