SQA will only consider your complaint if you have already exhausted all stages of iPowerboat Ltd’s
complaints procedure and you remain dissatisfied with the outcome or the way in which we handled
your complaint, or you believe that we have unreasonably failed to apply the procedure correctly.

assessment dissatisfaction with the way in which the centre handled the complaint
SQA will not consider complaints about:
academic judgement (use Appeals or Post-results Services)
the wider experience of being a candidate (eg support services, funding, facilities)
Complaints to Ofqual (Qualification Regulator)
Should the candidate be dissatisfied with the outcome of the complaint, the candidate will be
informed that they have the right to ask the Ofqual (the qualification regulator) to look at their
complaint if they remain dissatisfied after our final response has been issued.
Complaints can be lodged here: https://complaints.ofqual.gov.uk/
Section 4 – Internal Assessment and Verification
Internal assessment and verification procedures must be documented, implemented and monitored
to meet qualification and SQA requirements. iPowerboat Ltd is required to provide evidence of their
systems, policies and procedures to ensure all assessment decisions are consistent with the
qualification standards and to show how iPowerboat Ltd will maintain records of the internal
verification process.
4.1 Internal assessment and verification procedures must be documented and
monitored to meet the SQA requirements
Internal verification is a crucial element of the SQA’s quality assurance. It ensures that all candidates
entered for the same qualification are assessed fairly and consistently to the specified standard.
