Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi
Jewish Book Week 2020 was, for many of us, the last time we met
together in a large group. Since then, the world has undergone a seismic
shift, driving us to find new ways to connect with family, friends and
community. In these uncertain and sometimes bleak times, there have
been glimmers of light; among them, Jewish Book Week speakers have
continued their conversations with us in digital talks and debates. These
events have reminded us how life is immeasurably enriched by art, music,
conversation - the seemingly simple acts of connecting with one another,
all too easily taken for granted in better times.
This year’s festival will be unlike any other. For the first time, every event
will be available to view online. So, from wherever each of us is watching,
we invite you to join in, take part and help dispel the darkness together.
Welcome, friends old and new, to Jewish Book Week 2021.

WATCH ONLINE: Jewish Book Week
2021 will be our most accessible and
far-reaching festival yet. Wherever
you are in the world, you’ll be able to
watch over 50 events online, either
live or at your convenience until the
end of March 2021.
BEST VALUE PASSES*: If there are a
number of events that interest you,
we recommend that you consider
buying either a Sunday Pass or the
Festival Pass. A Sunday Pass is £65
and gives you access to the 10 events
on either Sunday of the festival. Even
better value, the Festival Pass is
£125: working out at under £3 per
event, allowing you to watch every
festival event from home. All these
events will be available to view until
31 March 2021.
HOW TO BOOK: You can buy tickets or
a festival pass at kingsplace.co.uk/jbw
or via jewishbookweek.com. Tickets
for single events are priced at £9.50£12.50*.
HOW TO WATCH: In advance of
the events for which you’ve booked,
you’ll receive a reminder email. To
watch the events, simply log in to
kingsplace.co.uk with the same email
and password you used to book
tickets. You’ll then need to go to the
KPlayer section where your events
will be featured under the My List
tab on the top right corner. During
the event, you can ask the speakers
questions by typing in the Chat box.
If you aren’t able to watch the event
live, you can login and watch anytime
until 31 March. Tickets will remain on
sale for that period.
FREE LUNCHTIME EVENTS: You can
watch free online events at 1.30pm
each day over 1-5 March. Simply visit
jewishbookweek.com and register for
the events you would like to watch
in order to receive the link. We’ll
also broadcast these events on our
Facebook page.

partner is the independent bookshop
Blackwell’s. You can find links to
buy books featured at the festival
on the Jewish Book Week and Kings
Place websites.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT:
The generosity of sponsors and
donors covers much of the festival’s
costs, but we remain reliant on ticket
buyers for a third of our income. We
greatly appreciate your support.
*Please note that Kings Place charges a £3.50
fee per booking transaction - you will only be
charged once where you purchase several
tickets in one booking.
All information is correct at time of going to
