THE JEWISH BOOK COUNCIL
The Council was established in 1948 to promote the reading of
books on all aspects of Jewish thought and culture. It puts on
Jewish Book Week, presents the Risa Domb-Porjes Prize for
Hebrew-English Translation, runs programmes for translators and
early-career writers, presents authors in schools, and organises
other book-related events throughout the year.
