Meet some of the Ken Jervis Kia extended family
We are so proud of the Ken Jervis Kia family, which includes all our staff and customers, past and present. It is
demonstrated by us winning the Kia Customer Experience and Family Care awards on several occasions.
But what about those extended members of our family that you don’t normally see?
Well, here’s your chance to meet a few of them.
A Dog’s life
Here’s Obie the German Shepherd, owned by our PDI
Center Manager, Ryan. They both travel in style, in a Kia
Sorento with a safe and comfortable travel pen for Obie.
This year has seen some new friends becoming part of the
Ken Jervis Kia family. Four legged friends, man’s best friend
or just your perfect pooch. Whatever you want to call them,
they are lovely...
They headed off for a day at the beach in August.
Also in August, Julie our
Account Administrator took
both her Jack Russells, Daisy
and Dexter to Bridlington for a
day at the beach. Like all boys
at the beach, Dexter decided
to show off on a surf board!
Maybe Dexter will be at the
Dog Surfing Championships
next year? Barking mad...
In July, Assistant Sales Manager, Richard Ashton, introduced
us to his new pal, Eric. Despite looking like a large, friendly
bat, it is in fact a French Bulldog. Small, but perfectly formed
and very well dressed.
And later that month, Michelle,
our Service Plan Administrator
gave us this fantastic picture
of her Staffie, Steino, in full kit
watching the Lionesses become
European Champions.
Sonny in Summer
You may remember
Sonny, the ex-racehorse
from our last issue.
Michelle, Service Plan
Administrator from the
accounts team has had
Sonny for 3 years now.
She had him after he
retired from his racing
career and re trained him for a
different type of competition. In September, they took
part in their first show and finished with a 2nd, 3rd and
4th place in 3 of the events.
Michelle’s daughter, Lauryn, also rode him in 2 classes in
the show.
Mother Hen Mike
Many of you know Mike
Buckley from our sales
team, but did you know he
has raised his own hens?
He took fertile eggs which
he kept in an incubator for 3
weeks, before they hatched
into these fluffy chicks.
From these pictures it looks as though
Mike has either turned his lounge into
a chicken coop or he’s been sent to the
hen house!
By mid-September the chicks had
grown and were out of Mike’s lounge.
The chicken coop is now outside. The
white one is called Rigley, the brown
one, Olive and the grey one, Carmen.
But has “Mother Hen” Mike been
banished to the garden with them?!
