Snuggery was the lamp
That quietly glowed warm upon the page
Its discreet rest as if in a tent
With the torch on
The book would always be there
Ready to read its word-scape of colour
To know of its changeable story
Of two strangers that became a pair.
Microscopically pitted in cream white
With 昀椀ne detail on a stippled page
Each is thumbed and leafed
In wood pulp mush.
Like a sudden rush of wind
The pages turned to rustle a hush
Across the ground
A sudden swept brush
The dirt unravels passion
In the dance a foot move shu昀툀e
A sweep with the ground
A handkerchief to blow and snu昀툀e
What sharp scratch will be seen?
From the thorns that leave a stinging open wound
Red and crimson seeps a dream
Reading its voyeuristic look
As if to hide behind a changing- screen.

The sweet smell in pink
The soft bite of Turkish Delight
Of a Queen Elizabeth rose
Petal soft: big and silken
Felt in blossom pose
Flips and 昀氀ops to the bed
Petals sprinkled and spread
Lipstick pink on a mug
As if a petal of a rose kissed its rim
A butter昀氀y pattern,
Mapped in detail of a landscape.
