However, upon the opening of the
new dedicated museum for the
city in Botanic Gardens in
1929 the contents of the
top 昀氀oor were relocated
to what is now the
Ulster Museum. It is
believed, therefore,
that the Egyptian
mummy, Takabuti,
was resident in
Belfast Central Library
up until the relocation.
Unfortunately we don’t
have photographic
evidence of her being
here. We do however have
something far more exciting…
