return to work and ease the transition process. The number of days
worked are agreed by the employee and their line manager
We also provide suitable rest facilities for those who are pregnant
or breastfeeding to ensure our employees feel supported and
comfortable.
PATERNITY LEAVE
Employees are entitled to a maximum of eight weeks’ paternity leave
and will receive their full rate of pay provided that they qualify for
Statutory Paternity Leave and Pay. The first two weeks of leave (statutory
entitlement) must be taken with current paternity leave legislation. The
remaining six weeks of leave (enhanced) must be taken in at least
week blocks and within 52 weeks of the birth of the baby.
SHARED PARENTAL LEAVE
Employees who want to share the care of their child during the
first year of birth or adoption can take Shared Parental leave.

PRIVATE HEALTH CARE
Physical and mental well-being are important to Liontrust. Offering
private health care that includes mental health support, physical health
assessments and access to an employee assistance programme that
provides a 24/7 counselling service supports employees.
GRIEVANCE PROCEDURES
Liontrust has a formal grievance policy, which applies to employees
and members and outlines the procedures that staff can take to raise
complaints or concerns to have them assessed by the Company.
Our people-related policies
Liontrust policies cover all of our employees. These policies include:
our Corporate Social Responsibility policy, our Human Rights
Policy, our Anti-Bribery Policy, Equal Opportunities and Dignity at
Work Policy, and our Diversity and Inclusion Policy. A summary
of our Equal Opportunities, Diversity and Human Rights Policies is
available on our website.
HUMAN RIGHTS
Liontrust’s policies are consistent with internationally recognised
human rights principles such as the UN Global Compact. We
comply with applicable human rights legislation in the countries
where we operate.
COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
Due to the small number and diverse functions of our employees, as
well as the nature of our business, our employees are not, in practice,
unionised and do not engage in collective bargaining. Liontrust’s
Workforce Advisory Committee has representatives from across the
business including two members of the Management Committee.
MODERN SLAVERY ACT (MSA)
We publish our statement on MSA on our website and this is
reviewed annually. This statement impacts the way we act in the
following contexts:
Our stance as a business
• Liontrust has committed to the preservation of human rights and
is vehemently opposed to the use of slavery in all forms; cruel,
inhuman or degrading punishments; and any attempt to control or
reduce freedom of thought, conscience and religion.
Our dealings with suppliers
• Liontrust will not knowingly enter into any business arrangement
with any person, company or organisation which fails to uphold
the human rights of its workers or which breaches the human rights
of those affected by the organisation’s activities.
Our investments
• We do not procure services from nor invest in businesses which
knowingly make use of slavery, human trafficking, forced labour,
compulsory labour or harmful child labour.
Our hiring practices
• We hire individuals who have the necessary documentation to
legally work in the UK. No one without this documentation or who
is younger than the legal minimum age for admission to work is
