PROCUREMENT
Our approach to Procurement
Liontrust operates a Counterparty Selection and Monitoring Policy
that we have developed to select and oversee services received
from third-party providers. As far as possible, we will only work
with suppliers who support our aim to work sustainably. We
are discussing how best to integrate our sustainable approach
with key suppliers. The nature of the due diligence conducted is
determined on a case- by-case basis although, as a general rule,
our Counterparty Selection and Monitoring Policy suggests due
diligence must include:
• confirmation that the supplier has adequate anti-bribery and
corruption controls in place, in line with applicable legislation,
and that it complies with the Modern Slavery Act, labour rights,
equal opportunities and occupational health and safety
• environment – that the supplier has adequate policies and
practices, emissions and targets in place
• information/data security (including cyber security) – proper
security must be in place if Liontrust or client data will be
processed or held by the supplier
• a thorough evaluation of the business resilience of the supplier will
be undertaken, including for financial performance, insurance
cover, contingency planning and third-party dependencies where
appropriate.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Liontrust expects all employees to conduct themselves responsibly
and with integrity, providing exceptional service and support to our
investors.
All Liontrust employees must comply with our internal policies and
procedures, as well as the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA)
Conduct Rules under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime
(SM&CR) – these principles are reinforced through our performance
management and training and development processes. We
have also adopted the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute’s
Asset Manager Code, a voluntary code of conduct to help asset
managers practice ethical principles that put client interests first.
