Remuneration
Our benefits package provides a generous array of financial, health
and well-being, lifestyle and family-friendly options for employees:
• We encourage a good work-life balance with generous annual
leave and offer lifestyle benefits including cycle to work and
season ticket loans;
• Private medical insurance and health checks, an employee
assistance programme with access to confidential counselling
support, and a further range of health and well-being options;
• 10% employer pension contributions to a defined contribution
pension scheme;
• Life assurance policy and income protection scheme from the first
day of employment, providing financial security and protection
for when it really matters.
All-employee Tax Efficient Share Schemes
SIP – the share plan scheme offers the chance for employees to buy
Liontrust shares tax free. To further enhance this, for every share an
employee purchases, Liontrust purchases two shares on their behalf. This
benefit is offered with the maximum limits as set by HMRC, allowing
employees to ‘buy into’ the success of the company in a tax efficient way
and is available to all employees who have at least three months service.
Almost 80% of employees participate in this (as of March 2020).
Maternity and Family Friendly
• Liontrust recognises the importance of achieving a healthy worklife balance with family life responsibilities. We firmly support,
encourage and work closely with our staff by offering and
considering all flexible working requests equally, to give parents
flexibility on how best to care for their children.
• We offer both Statutory Maternity Pay and Enhanced Maternity
Pay, details of which are outlined in the table below.
Entitlement to Maternity Leave and Pay
All mothers and primary adopters are entitled to 52 weeks of maternity or
adoption leave, regardless of their length of service.
Keeping in Touch During Maternity Leave
We offer ‘Keeping In Touch’ days during a colleague’s maternity
leave to help prepare the return to work and ease the transition
process. The number of days worked are agreed by management,
and the amount of pay received for each KIT day would depend on
the proportion of the day worked. For example, if a colleague works
up to half of their normal daily hours, they will receive half a day’s
pay. If they work longer than this, they will receive a full day’s pay.
We also provide suitable rest facilities for those who are pregnant or
breastfeeding to ensure our employees feel supported and comfortable.
Paternity Leave
Employees are entitled to a maximum of two weeks’ Paternity leave and
will receive their full rate of pay. Those who do not meet the length of
service criteria receive two weeks’ Statutory Paternity leave and pay.
Shared Parental Leave
Employees who want to share the care of their child during the
first year of birth or adoption can take Shared Parental leave. Our
Enhanced Shared Paternity leave is equivalent and replicates our
Enhanced Maternity leave.
