Wokingham Libraries are putting up a rhyme a
week on their facebook page and I’ve recorded
‘Wind the Bobbin Up’ for them if you want to
keep finding those teeny-tiny and great big
bobbins together. www.facebook.com/watch/

Why not try learning some new songs? The
London Rhymes project have fantastic original
songs on their YouTube channel, including a useful
handwashing song ‘How clean can you be?’

There’s some brilliant free theatre for the very
young available online. Little Angel Theatre
broadcast a performance of Jon Klassen’s I Want
My Hat Back, on their YouTube channel that was
so popular that they will be following it up with
the remaining two titles in the series, This is Not
My Hat and We Found a Hat. www.youtube.com/

I’ll be working with Pied Piper Theatre Company
to create ‘Beach’ – online theatre for babies and
toddlers based on a day at the seaside. Videos will
be uploaded weekly from June 22nd and will build
into a story with songs and puppets.
In the meantime, on the website there are
songs from our baby and toddler show ‘DIG!’ to
enjoy (look for ‘DIG!’ under the ‘shows’ menu).

e are so grateful for
the technology that
has enabled us all
to stay in touch while isolated
in our homes. Revd Paul Willis
can be found every day at
midday and at 9pm with prayers
and contemplations online.
The number of people that
are tuning into these is very
pleasing.
We are enjoying Family Services
at 10am on Sundays via Zoom.
It is lovely to see the children’s
faces and hear the beautiful
way that they carry out the
readings and say the prayers.
There is always a craft activity, in which everyone
is welcome to join. Afterwards, we can share what
has been made via WhatsApp. We have been
exploring the ‘I am’ sayings of Jesus. The picture
is of myself and a little friend who helped me
with the talk on Easter Sunday. I hope you like our
Easter bonnets!
At 11am on Sundays, there is
a service of contemplation for
everyone, led by Revd Paul,
via Zoom. This is quiet and
thoughtful and includes the
readings and the psalm from the
lectionary for that day. We share
the service with Swallowfield
and take it in turns to provide
the readers and the prayers of
intercession. After the service,
we share a ‘coffee time’ which
is much less quiet as everyone
tries to catch up with the news.
See page 77 for details of how to
join these services.
Hopefully, we will soon be able to meet once again
in church, albeit in a different fashion. We very
much look forward to that but, in the meantime,
our church community and fellowship remain
strong.
