AGC COUNCILLOR-ONLY EVENTS IN THE AGC MEETING SPACE
Meeting Room 9 is being set aside for Councillors to meet in throughout the Conference. So, if you’d like to get
together with other councillors in your region, with a similar portfolio to you, or for any other reason, feel free to use
it. The room has capacity of 34 and there is a large screen which you can connect to from your own device using
AirMedia (instructions in room) or via the HDMI cable provided.
Friday 5pm-6pm - How Green councillors can be part of the Healthy Homes Act campaign to
transform the quality of the built environment
Jack Dangerfield and Daniel Slade, from the Town and Country Planning Association
Are you concerned about councils’ loss of control over the quality of new homes and
neighbourhoods? Join this session to learn about the Town and Country Planning Association’s
national and local campaigns to end developments that undermine residents’ health and wellbeing.
Friday 7.30-8.30pm - Greens in Power
A closed meeting for councillors who are part of their council’s ruling Administration (Leaders, Cabinet members,
committee chairs).
Saturday 2-2.45pm - How to introduce policies to restrict harmful advertising in your area
Come and talk to representatives of Adfree Cities and the Badvertising campaign about how your council can
restrict harmful advertising in your local area.
Sunday 10.30 - 11.30 - “My Chief Exec Doesn’t understand me” Green Peer Mentors
Andrew Cooper and Zoe Nicholson will share stories of the councillor/ CEO relationship through the eyes of Green
Peer Mentors and discuss how to create the most effective officer / councillor relationship.
Sunday 1.30 - 2.30pm - AGC Board
A closed meeting for the AGC Board members to discuss AGC priorities for the coming year.

Local Government Association Independent Group Drinks Reception
Saturday 7-8pm room tbc
As usual the Local Government Association Independent Group will be hosting a Drinks
Reception for Principal Authority Councillors. Come along for a drink and a chat and to
hear more about how the LGAI can support and represent you.
