Biomass for net zero?
Uniting for Peace
The world is in the grip of new cold war between

and security of the world. The wars in Syria, Yemen,
Iraq and Libya continue with untold suffering and
increasing the already high military spending.
The COVID-19 pandemic has unleashed vast

wildfires from Siberia to California signal runaway
global warming. To alleviate the above problems,

coordinated response based on equity and justice can
tackle the above crisis.

Thanks to all the hard work of our campaigners, the
Green Party has seen its electoral wins increase
exponentially. If we want to keep on growing and
make our work sustainable, we need to engage more
volunteers. We need to recruit the Green councillors
and campaign organisers of tomorrow, right now.
Come along to the session to find out how to recruit
more volunteers for your election campaigns.
FRINGE:
Farming for the Future: Why GMOs
aren’t Green
New gene editing techniques are being hailed as
the solution to problems ranging from world hunger
and climate change to burnt toast. Green Party
policy urges caution but Boris Johnson is keen to
remove regulatory safeguards and has made plain
his intention to open the UK’s door to ‘new GMOs’ as
quickly as possible. Green peer Natalie Bennett chairs
a discussion that will explain the basics of what’s
happening and why it matters before inviting you to
‘ask us anything’ about GMOs in food and farming.
Friday 15.15-16.30
