change to burnt toast. Green Party policy urges caution but Boris Johnson is keen to remove regulatory safeguards
and has made plain his intention to open the UK’s door to ‘new GMOs’ as quickly as possible. Green peer Natalie

‘ask us anything’ about GMOs in food and farming.

FRINGE: How Bristol Greens Won BIG in May
Bristol Greens made historic gains, doubling our seats for a party record-high 24 councillors, topping the polls citywide and making national headlines. Plus, for the first time in the party's history, a Green candidate for Mayor
contested the election run-off, narrowly missing out. Our Metro Mayor and PCC results broke records too. Focused,
committed, long-term organising was key across so many campaigns. We’ll share how Bristol Greens achieved this,
including stepping up Target-to-Win campaigning, cross-campaign decision-making, media and more. Plus - get the
inside track on our exciting plans to win control of the Council, and elect our next Green MP.
FRINGE: Update from the House of Lords
From the Agriculture Act to the Policing Bill: find out about the Green Party's work in the House of Lords and how to
engage with it.
INTERNAL: GP Digital platforms
We currently run many of our party processes (elections, conference agenda setting and bookings, etc) via the
members website and spaces, and as we all know there are limitations to what we can do with this technology which
causes frustrations for some members.
Our new Head of Technology, Jon Evans will be leading this session in which members can discuss the kinds of
barriers or problems they find with the current systems.
TRAINING: Recruiting volunteers
We cannot win elections without volunteers; how best to engage members and recruit volunteers?
Saturday 12.30-13.30 (lunchtime sessions)
WALKING TOUR: Urban Regeneration in Birmingham
Dr Austin Barber, local member and Senior Lecturer in Urban Development and Planning at the University of
Birmingham, will lead this guided tour. Details to follow.
FRINGE: Taking down harmful ads: Safeguarding our health and climate from the pressures
of advertising
We live in the age of greenwash - advertising is a huge driver of overconsumption and climate
change. Local Green Councillors have been leading the way in introducing local policies to
restrict harmful advertising. Hear from councillors and campaigners in this practical session
on how you can do this in your local area too. Speakers: Norwich Councillor Jamie Osborne,
Bristol Councillor Carla Denyer (invited) as well as speakers from Adfree Cities and Badvertising.
