8.1 These Standing Orders shall be reviewed

Policy Working Groups
PDC has put in place a ‘faculty system’ of linking Policy
Working Groups with key members in the last year with
some excellent results, and some weaker areas. Policy
Working Groups are a key link between the membership
and PDC as well as assisting the spokespeople, leadership
team, elected Greens and the Communications team with
vital evidence-based reports. The proposed Standing
Orders for PDC make the expectations for both PWGs and
PDC clear and unambiguous, and will provide a vital route
forward to grow the PWGs in strength.
We formally thank the convenors and Policy Working
Group members for their contribution towards developing
new and maintaining and communicating existing and
agreed policy – we frankly could not do it without you. All
the contact details are up on the members’ website, and
PDC will review and update. We welcome newly convened
PWGs such as the Rights and Responsibilities group,
and take this opportunity at Conference to remind the
membership that everyone is welcome to join PWGs – it is
an ideal way to get directly involved with the party outside
