An Introduction
from our Managing Director
Hello and welcome
to the latest issue
of Transport News.
I would like to begin by thanking you all for your continued hard work during
what has been a year of unprecedented challenges. Overcoming multiple
lockdowns and dealing with the pandemic has been tough, but hopefully
we can continue to display this strength throughout 2021. Please continue
following government guidance to keep yourself, colleagues, families and wider
communities safe.
2020 has been another busy year for the Transport Division, and across the
Division we have continued completing exciting work, as well as securing new
contracts and frameworks.
We are delighted to share with you the news of M Group Services’ exchange
of contracts for Skanska UK’s infrastructure services operation. This will see
the formation of a new company, Milestone Infrastructure Ltd, which will form a
part of the Transport Division. This is a hugely exciting acquisition, and we look
forward to working closely with the team to welcome them into our Division.
There has also been a number of contract wins during the last few months.
Dyer & Butler has been awarded a place on the Eastern Highways Alliance
Framework, as well as being awarded a significant framework from Network Rail,
both evidence of the growing strength of our Division.
We also have updates on some project completions, with Antagrade carrying
out works across the UK and KH Engineering Services completing important
platform extensions in preparation for the Open Golf Championship next year.
November also saw members of the Dyer & Butler team take part in Movember,
raising a staggering amount of money for a great cause, and I would like to thank
and congratulate all those who took part and donated so generously.
Finally, I hope you all had a great festive period and I wish you all a happy
New Year, and I look forward to 2021 being another successful year.
