The Civil Engineering Contractors
Association (CECA) has appointed
Simon White as the Chair of the newly
formed Highways Maintenance Group.
CECA, the representative body for the UK’s civil engineering
contractors, has announced the formation of a specialist
sector group for its member companies with an interest in
highways maintenance. The CECA represent more than 300
contractors of all sizes, many of whom are active in repairing,
maintaining and upgrading the nation’s highways.
Commenting on the launch of the Highways Maintenance
Group, Simon White, Dyer & Butler Highways Director, said:
“I am delighted to Chair this new group, which will prioritise
workload visibility; health and safety; driving innovation;
achieving net zero; and improving productivity.
“CECA’s Highways Maintenance Group will bring the right
people together to collaborate to deliver efficiency and drive
best practice in highways maintenance across England and
Wales.
“I am excited to have been Chair of this new group, and I look
forward to curating a wide-ranging programme of events and
projects to help our members understand upcoming pipelines
and client expectations.”
